Yesterday I saw an A380. It was parked on the tarmac at Addis Abeba airport. Not that I think Ethiopian Airlines are purchasing one, but more likely it was there to test its flight/landing at the highest airport in Africa, well that’s what we thought anyway. Its is HUUUUUUUUUUUGE! We had one of those transport buses for scale and oh my god: Massive!
In other news the football world cup trophy made its way to Addis, and there were concerts blaring out of the hangar next to the office all day including Somali refugee rapper Kanaan, which made all the girls in the programmes department crazy. I was more interested in the A380 tbh.
Anyway I’m finally off to the field, we have an AWD outbreak/flood in South Omo and I’m going to lead our response. Woohoo! Finally some action!
